Stuff to Know About Fashion Jewelry

Save Cash By Buying Costume Jewelry

Like most other people I know I’ve been trying to budget my money better over the last couple of years thanks to the fact that my earnings don’t seem to be going as far in the current economy. This means that I have had to cut back on spending in areas which should be considered non-essential. The amount of cash I set aside each month to spend in clothes and jewelry has dropped significantly from what I was spending a few years ago. Not that this is a particularly bad thing as I’m learning to appreciate the things I buy much more than I once did, I no longer make purchases that are going to sit in the back of the wardrobe unused.

One of my biggest discoveries has been the wonderful world of costume jewelry. Its not that I didn’t know this existed before, but I had no idea that the range of products available was so vast. I used to spend a great deal of time in fancy jewelers trying on all the latest creations from big designers, enticed by the precious metals and expensive gems, but now I realize that you can get jewelry and accessories for a fraction of the cost that looks just as good.

Maybe its a sign of the economy and the fact that so many of us are watching our cash, but it seems to me that more designers are making attempts to create great jewelry that doesn’t cost the earth. Take cubic zirconia jewelry for instance. I wouldn’t have touched this with a barge pole a decade ago due to the fact I thought I was too good for it, but these days you can get cubic zirconia rings that look so close to the real thing that the differences are not worth talking about. For someone who is dying to look great but doesn’t have much to spend, these are absolutely perfect, and they are so easily available Online.
